THE ROLE

As Forklift Driver, you will be working in a food manufacturing facility, using a Raymond Reach forklift to move products in the plant. This is a great temp-to-perm opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a mid-size facility for a reputable and leading company in food manufacturing. You will be working in a team environment on the day shift starting at either 7 am or 8 am. This is a growing company that is very busy right now. The plant is a meat processing facility. You need to be comfortable working with raw and cooked beef. You will be working in all the areas of the plant which include the freezer, cold area, and dry food area. This position is located in Concord on a bus route.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate Raymond Reach forklift driver- reverse steering
• Shipping/Receiving
• Order Picking- 80% time on forklift and 20% of time as general labour
• Inventory and cycle counts
• Record pre-inspection results and record keeping
• Material Handling using forklift
• Loading product on and off the trucks
• General warehouse duties

REQUIREMENTS

• 2 years experience as a Raymond Reach forklift operator- reverse steering
• Must have a forklift license
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs
• Food manufacturing experience
• Comfortable working in a cold freezer
• Have a great team attitude and willingness to help
• Good communication skills
• Must have a clear criminal record
• Have a proven track record of excellent attendance and punctuality
