The Role

We have partnered with a well-established manufacturing organization in Brantford to hire a Temporary Data Entry Clerk to support the Materials and Operations teams.


This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, solid ERP/data entry experience, and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate order entry, pricing, scheduling coordination, and information flow between the office and plant floor.


This is a hands-on, detail-driven position where accuracy, organization, and communication are critical to daily operations.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter data into JDE, including sales and production orders
  • Quote components and compute pricing, including applicable discounts
  • Process customer orders and verify technical and pricing accuracy
  • Answer inquiries related to product details, pricing, shipping timelines, and warranty information
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records, product specifications, and order status
  • Inform customers of shipping dates and proactively communicate any delays
  • Notify internal departments of order changes or schedule adjustments
  • Verify data for accuracy and completeness and correct discrepancies as needed
  • Assist in managing order scheduling, priorities, and overall workflow
  • Maintain clear records of customer discussions and correspondence
  • Collaborate with Sales, Materials, and Operations to ensure accurate and timely data exchange
  • Support information flow between the office and plant floor
  • Participate in discussions focused on improving customer service and internal processes
  • Uphold safety standards and promote a safe work environment
  • Meet productivity and quality standards and assist with continuous improvement initiatives
  • Perform other related duties as required


Requirements

  • Previous data entry or administrative experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience with ERP systems (JDE is a strong asset)
  • Strong math skills for pricing, discounts, and order calculations
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Clear, professional communication skills (email, phone, in person)
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate records
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with sales, materials, and production teams
  • Safety-conscious mindset when working in or supporting plant operations
